Curtis.

Curtis.

AI chat for Obsidian — on your own keys, in your own vault, kept as files. No account with us. No history held hostage. Every conversation is a markdown record in a portable format you can carry anywhere.

Install from the Obsidian directory

What it does.

Chat with 44 built-in providers — or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint — on keys you already have, stored in your OS keychain. Compare models side by side. Attach images. Talk to it. The agent can read, search, and edit your notes when you ask, and connects to your own MCP tools.

Every conversation is kept as a markdown file in your vault, plus the portable .curt format: one conversation, one file, stable ids, re-importable on any machine.

NOT YET — STATED PLAINLY

Claude Pro/Max and GitHub Copilot sign-in are deliberately unsupported — those subscription plans don't permit API-style access, and we don't fake it. ChatGPT, Kimi, and Alibaba coding-plan sign-in are supported.

There is no Curtis account and no sync service yet. Your conversations are vault files; syncing them is your sync tool's job.

Receipts, not promises.

Curtis wires into Curtis Audit, which keeps append-only receipts for everything the agent did — every inference, sequenced and verifiable. Trust is a record you can check, not a feeling.
